Our Best Tips To Grow Your Brow Hairs

If you’ve been silently plucking every few days in search of the perfect brow shape – a little here, a little there – then before you know it, you’ve thinned your brows out so much you feel like you’ve gone straight back to the ’90s.

Don’t panic, help is here! – here are my top tips to get your brows back full and fluffy, as fast as you can!

Tip one: Back away from the tweezers! One of the best things you can do is nothing at all. You don’t want to worsen the problem by taking more hair off. So it’s best to hide those during your brow rehab so that you’re not tempted to pluck anything else.

Tip two: see a brow expert. For best results, I would recommend letting your brows grow out for 4 weeks, then coming in to see a professional so we can uncover the right shape to frame your face.

Once brow hairs have been plucked, it can take 4-6 weeks for the natural cycle to kick in and the new hair to grow back through. By waiting it out this allows your brow specialist to have as much hair as possible to work with to get your brows in perfect shape.

Tip three: Use a growth serum. Growth serums are becoming more and more popular in the marketplace. They contain boosting peptides that help stimulate the hair follicle to quicken the growing phase—and yes, they work! We recommend Revive7 for our brow rehab clients. It’s a clear gel with boosting peptides that stimulate the hair follicles. I used this product to help me recover from my high school eyebrow experimental days.

How to use it Apply it once per day in the areas where you want the hairs to grow back - As an added bonus you can use it on your eyelashes too!

Tip four: Wait it out—the hardest part of the rehab. Waiting..waiting..waiting. Although it’s hard – it’s the most important! It can take a full 3 months to see your brows recover from a bad brow wax, and up to 12 months if your brows are a little on the slower-growing side.

If you have been in the ‘growing back phase’ for 12 months or more, unfortunately, your brows may be as good as they will get. Over-plucking your precious brows for longer periods can damage the hair follicle altogether and cause the hair to stop growing completely.

Other reasons why your eyebrows will not be growing back are:

  1. Genetics (look at your parent’s brows), as this can give you an idea of your genetics.

  2. Medications: Some medications can affect your hair growth

  3. Stress: unfortunately, stress is linked to causing hair to fall out on your head and your eyebrows.

Tip five: use a brow pencil to lightly fill in the sparse areas whilst you’re in a growing phase. This will save you from the patchy, uneven phase!

Everyone should own a great brow pencil that frames their arches,

Happy growing!
